In 2002 I bought my first digital camera: a compact Nikon Coolpix 775. It was love at first sight and also the beginning of my passion for photography! I took countless hours of great pleasure in this little digital miracle. I used to make endless field trips in the local fauna and flora. No animal, plant or flower (and either my family and friends) could escape from me and my Coolpix.

In 2005 I swapped my Coolpix for a digital SLR camera: a Canon EOS 350D so that I could get portraits, shows and other amusing events on 'film' too. Since it is not always very handy to carry along a big camera, I also bought a compact Panasonic Lumix.

In 2008 I was 'seduced' by my current Canon EOS 40D. To get the hang of the technical aspect of photography, I devoured numerous books and I followed two courses 'Digital Photography' in the Syntra education centre in Tongeren. During those courses, we were encouraged to watch and see! You'd be suprised by how an anonymous (and thus boring) building can turn into a little paradise for photographers!

By means of this website I want to show you the discoveries I did over the years. In short, there are many things in life that are worth to be captured, it is just a question of spotting them!

Cheers, Miet
